One

Today is a day full of firsts once again. We all took our first photos of 2011 and everything else we did today was a first, even if it was not meant as one. This past year was not an easy year for me or my family and this year will continue to be effected by the same challenges that troubled us in 2010. Throughout the year I will try to find the positive and photograph it along the way when it gets rough. I have all the resources I need for the moment and have plenty of room to grow photography wise. I hope that this year I will grow as a photographer and use the wonderful equipment that I have to benefit me! This year I also hope to participate in more blog link ups and weekly photo challenges as well! I hope this year brings improvement for everyone in one way or another! Happy New Year! Aloha!

WOW Mackenzie!! Your photos are incredible...truly INCREDIBLE! I'm just blown away by the talent I've seen by gals your age; it's just amazing. I SO wish I'd gotten into photography when I was younger. About my collges, here's the link from where I purchased mine:

I think I got "set 1" last year, and there have been some new ones added since then. Rounded corners, etc. Also, I think Rita from Coffeeshop offers free ones, but to me they're a little harder to navigate through. If you're computer/Photoshop smart, you might be able to figure out all the clipping mask stuff, etc. With the MCP Actions blog-it boards, the whole thing just opens up in front of you, and you just drag pictures in. It's SO easy! hope that helps! :-)

Hi Mackenzie~ :-) I swear I sent you a comment yesterday, but I don't see it, so I wanted to try again. (I was stopping by to see more - your blog is FANTASTIC!) :-)

The link for the collages I use is:

I bought Set 1 last year, and since then Jodi has come out with some new blog-it actions. Hope that helps! So sorry my first comment didn't come through. Happy Monday! :-)

Karli, thank you so much! I'm definitely looking into purchasing those now! Thank you again for stopping by and the reason your first comment didn't come up was because of comment moderation, sorry! Thank you again for all your help!

And thank you to every one of you for your kind words! I really appreciate it and have absolutely no clue what type of plant is in the second photo! Hawaiian flora and fauna is just gorgeous! Thank you again for all your sweet comments!

Hi again, Mackenzie!
About putting your name/blog/copyright on your photos.... You can use text to do it, but I actually created a brush. Then you just select the brush tool, choose that brush, and put it on the photo...wherever and whatever size and opacity you want! There are lots of youtube videos on how to create a brush if you don't know how, that's how I learned!! Hope this helps!
And seriously, you are one talented missy! Can't wait to see more!
Stacey :-)
